It's been a while since I posted on here, hasn't it? Sadly, it will be an even longer while until I post again. I've made the decision to retire this blog. It's served me well in the three years that I've had it, and I'm somewhat sad to see it go. However, as I further pursue my dream to be a writer, I've found that my blogging style has matured and become more focused.Lauren Brenthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12926324833415080191noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1187506931063735813.post-38053307980236522702011-05-19T23:44:00.000-07:002011-05-19T23:44:29.574-07:00A Once In a Lifetime OpportunitySo, as some of you may have seen in my most recent post, I auditioned for The Biggest Loser! I didn't, however, get on the show... which has actually proven to work out far better than I thought it would!
Instead, I was given the amazing chance to move down to Sunnyvale for the summer and focus on getting healthier! 2011 has proven to be a good year. As well as great books and memorable movies, the year has brought forth some great music... and it's only March! And while new music will always excite me, regardless of what it is, no new album has excited me as much as Panic! at the Disco's Vices & Virtues, which hit shelves on March 25.

I'm not sure, but I don't think I've written up my preview post for the movie PRIEST yet... odd, considering it 1. has Karl Urban, 2. has Paul Bettany, 3. has Christopher Plummer, and 4. is the only movie I want to see in 2011.

And while there is absolutely no reason why this should be a special year (apart from the epic 11/11/11 event), I felt like doing something challenging... and seeing as I have a new Kindle, it made sense to make that something involve books.
Last year, I let reading fall by the wayside... until, of course, I started writing. It is nearing the end of January now and I am still working on The 11th Hour... which is to be expected. My ETC was the end of January... problem is, I don't think I'm all that close to finishing.
And the main problem is, the story is getting stale. Not that the writing is getting bad or the idea is losing its luster, but just that I can't bring these characters to life Lauren Brenthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12926324833415080191noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1187506931063735813.post-41179079802521849162011-01-01T12:00:00.000-08:002011-01-01T12:00:03.261-08:00Obligatory and Witty Blog Post Title HereI always wonder what to write for the New Year. In 2008, I wrote a beefy post about what I had been through that year, how it changed me, and how much a grew. In 2009, I wrote nothing because my hard drive decided to give up the ghost... but that's just as well because I don't think 2009 was really that eventful of a year. If you grew up when I did, or have a child that grew up when I did, you probably recognize R.L. Stine from Goosebumps fame. I loved those books! But what you may not know is that R.L. Stine had another series of books, known as the Fear Street Saga. There are many different people this Saga follows, but they're all set in the same place (not the same time, mind you), and follow the same Lauren Brenthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12926324833415080191noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1187506931063735813.post-56105035362660827262010-12-30T12:00:00.000-08:002010-12-30T12:00:03.238-08:00There's gonna be some changes around here! So, as the year comes to an end, I've decided to add a few more tabs to the tab bar (locate up there ^^^). How frustrating!Christmas came and went like dust on the wind and, other than a few water related mishaps, it went pretty well!We still didn't have our tree, but that was fine because we planned on spending the day with our Aunt in Atwater... she had a tree, so it wasn't a treeless Christmas (could you imagine? Probably because Christmas just snuck up on me! I'm still having a hard time believing that it's right around the corner, because it doesn't feel like Christmas. The fact that we don't have a tree up may have something to do with it, but whatever the reason, Christmas just snuck up on me!

the important things in life, like whether or not his Pull-Up

So, it's officially Christmas break for me. Which is great! I have a lot to do... we've bought a new house, and we're moving slowly over there (haha it's even closer to the church than our current one... as if that were possible), and Lauren Brenthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12926324833415080191noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1187506931063735813.post-37639694841976654902010-12-16T09:09:00.001-08:002010-12-16T15:41:46.913-08:00Is that a Dolphin?
This is Kara's fish... Yes, I actually got her one! It's a male delta tail beta... The pinkest one I could find. I'm hoping she'll be excited.
Camden saw it this morning and asked if it was a dolphin... Lol. These kids.
We're doing our gift exchange today. The kids are going to help me get their moms' gifts ready, and we're gonna have a little party. Looking forward to it. :)Lauren Brenthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12926324833415080191noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1187506931063735813.post-46984348719183324172010-12-04T14:58:00.000-08:002010-12-04T14:58:20.067-08:00Quick and Delicious Tomato-Basil Grilled CheeseIt's been a while since I've made a cooking entry, and I'm quite excited about this one because it's actually a Limitless Ramblings original!! It's interesting to see my kiddos growing up. I took this picture during quiet time one day. The kids were all watching a movie, and it's just amazing how big they all look. This became an attempt at a lifestyle change... and for a while, it was working.
Even now, I still pay attention to what I eat and try my best to keep on top of it... but life is crazy, and it's easy to find excuses not to do something.
